Sliding or swing gate: which is better?
A sliding gate is the usual choice in Pretoria because it needs no swing space and works well with a gate motor. It needs a level track along the inside of the wall and enough wall length for the gate to slide back. A swing gate suits short or sloping driveways where a track is not practical, but you need clear space for the leaves to open inwards.
